Electrical properties of Lasting elements

Lasting SiC is a semiconductor material, which has a much higher resistance value than metal conductors, heating in air, when the surface temperature of the hot zone reaches about 1000 ℃, the resistivity is 600~1400Ω · mm2/m. The characteristic curve is negative from room temperature to 700℃, it is a positive value above 700℃. The resistance value is lowest at about 650~700℃, exceed this temperature, the value will increase proportionally to temperature.

Below 600℃, minor impurities  will cause resistance value to change substantially, so the resistance value at room temperature can not reflect that value at high temperature. The resistance value always tests at a steady temperature 1000℃ or above, which is calculated base on voltage and current tested.
